With a curved blade, this plate is the ONLY option we recommend for slicing soft foods with the AE-VC30.The P4 or P2 plates that come standard with the VC30 are used on hard foods such as carrots or potatoes. This plate is available for purchase separately and not included standard with the AE-VC30 machine.
